The City of Salamanca is situated in the western part of the country Spain. It is well known for its ancient old buildings and urban surroundings that give it a contrast that is unique. In 1998, UNESCO declared Salamanca a World Heritage site. In Salamanca you find the University of Salamanca that is world renowned for its teachings of the Spanish Language. It brings together thousands and thousands of students from all parts of the world that brings together a diversity of different cultures from all around the world. The climate in Salamanca comprises of very hot summers however with a drastic turn of extreme cold weathers. The main market of the city concentrates on both tourism and university. The other areas of interest to the city are agriculture, manufacturing and construction.
In Salamanca you find a wide range of citizens from all across the world. That is the reason the it has also been named the European Capital of Culture due to the various dynamics of the different blends of culture brought together to learn the Spanish language.
There are very many amazing attractions in the city of Salamanca. These include attractions historic sites, that are religious and of architectural buildings such as the San Esteban that is a monastery and was constructed around the 16th Century.
Another attraction is the Museo de la Historia De Automotion. This is a very unique type of major museum that brings together the history of automobiles that goes as far back as the first vehicle there was in Salamanca to these early models around the world. There are also other museums that cater for world life as well as nature such as the Centro de Turismo Rural Valle Agadon that is situated about .3 miles from Salamanca’s city centre. The attractions in Salamanca are so vast so explicit that it is impossible to fully digest the dynamics and the values that bring into this modern yet complex society in Spain. The city boasts of major strength and unity in its beliefs, values and enormous cultural beliefs that the various tourists come to admire and learn to accept and live by the way.
Each year it is estimated that at least over 3,000 students come into the city to join the university and at least a third of this number remains within the city or move to other parts of Spain to teach the language they have so much desired to learn and eventually settle within the country for some time.
